The Challenge
A GCC government agency was establishing a centre for Artificial Intelligence – a high-performance computing facility at the forefront of research and innovation, supporting the country’s economic diversification strategy.
The centre’s mandate was to solve complex, large-scale industry problems and support major national programmes. It needed a brand-new team of world-class technical talent, built from scratch, hired from highly competitive global markets and recruited under strict confidentiality.
Leadership needed a search partner with both the international reach and a proven method for assessing highly specialised engineers and technologists.
Our Role
AcuityX began with market research rather than job adverts. It showed that engineers with five to seven years’ post-qualification experience offered the strongest combination of hands-on coding skill – across C++, Java and Python – and working knowledge of frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
We designed a targeted global search, focusing on software engineers who had graduated from leading computer science universities in Asia and Eastern Europe and progressed through major global technology companies.
We then managed the full search across every technical discipline, presenting only the highest-calibre engineers, designers and programmers against each of the client’s requirements.
The Outcome
The client launched the centre with a complete, operationally ready technical team in place from day one. Specialist appointments included Robotics Technician, Computer Vision Engineer and Data Scientist roles.
The final team brought together several nationalities with strong gender representation, reflecting the client’s ambition to build a diverse, future-focused capability. The centre had immediate access to the skills, capacity and structure it needed to start delivering without delay.
