International workforce mobilisation and capability legacy for a host nation’s first multi-sport Games

The Challenge

The Games were the host nation’s first major multi-sport event. With limited in-country expertise, the Organising Committee needed to rapidly mobilise several hundred experienced international professionals to design and deliver Games operations.

The obstacles were significant: limited local major-event experience, compressed mobilisation timelines, and the need to integrate international experts into a new regulatory and cultural environment.

Alongside delivery, the organisers wanted genuine knowledge transfer – building national capability so future events would rely less on international recruitment.

Our Role

AcuityX’s leadership team designed and ran the international recruitment strategy, targeting and securing major-event professionals across every required functional area, including venues, technology and workforce.

We partnered with functional leaders to define organisational structures, onboarding frameworks and employment governance standards.

To create a lasting capability transfer model, we embedded structured knowledge-sharing expectations so international experts mentored and upskilled local teams throughout the engagement.

The Outcome

Several hundred senior international professionals were mobilised for the Games, establishing stable leadership and operational delivery across Games functions.

The engagement accelerated the development of the host nation’s local event capability and laid the foundation for the country’s continued growth as an international major-events hub.
