HR Policy and Processes Modernisation at a UAE Government Entity
The Challenge
A government-affiliated entity in the UAE was moving to a new regulatory jurisdiction, with updated employment regulations it would need to comply with.
Leadership recognised that the organisation would require a comprehensive overhaul of its HR policies, employee handbook and associated procedures to align with the new regulatory framework.
A major issue was that the existing policies had accumulated over time and needed consolidation, updating and realignment with current employment law and organisational practice.
Our Role
AcuityX conducted a full review and rewrite of the existing HR policy document, consolidating fragmented policies and removing outdated provisions. A large number of standalone policy updates issued over previous years were integrated back into a single, coherent master policy document, ensuring consistency and eliminating contradictions.
AcuityX also developed a new employee handbook based on the revised policy framework and aligned all policies and procedures with the employment regulations of the new jurisdiction, ensuring full compliance.
AcuityX also delivered a phased implementation plan with clear milestones for internal review, legal sign-off and employee communication.
The Outcome
The client received a fully modernised HR policy document and employee handbook aligned with the new regulatory framework. The consolidation of standalone policy updates into a single document significantly reduced ambiguity and improved ease of reference, and a clear separation of policies and procedures created a more manageable and auditable framework for ongoing governance.
